“ If you find yourself up a creek (must be pronounced correctly) without a cup of coffee, be sure to make a stop at Big Jack's Coffeehouse & Cafe. Sailor's beware, there are certain days of the week those of nautical heritage are only served behind the restaurant (rumor is it is whatever day a sailor enters the establishment). Regardless of where the owner requires you to dine (if you're remaining on-site) the coffee and breakfast fare is much worth the antics of the hospital owner and his lovely bride (the Big Jack sauce is a must try). Not being from the area (not even a neighboring state (but maybe similar state of mind)), we certainly hope our travels return us to an open sign on the door of this "well worth the stop" coffee shop. From the sailor allowed to dine with ship's company, well done Big Jack's!!! Be LIMBITLESS Be FAITHFUL ”
“ This is my favorite for grabbing breakfast before work or church. Also love the coffee, I have yet to find better coffee ”
“ Absolutely come to this cafe. PLEASE. We stopped in on our way from Morehead to Nashville. What I got: Jacked Up BLT and a sweet tea The food and drinks: 100% the best sandwich I've had in a while. Fresh lettuce and tomato. Signature BigJack sauce. Crispy bacon. Nothing but the best. The sweet tea tasted like something your mamaw would make for lunch, you won't regret it. Service: We met "The Eric" who's the owner of the place! He came to our table and gave recommendations for food and was incredibly personable. He gave us the backstory of his business as well, telling us that his business is named after his loyal companion, Big Jack, an incredibly good boy who passed in 2018. Atmosphere: The aesthetic of the business reflects "The Eric" incredibly well. A clean kept man with an appreciation for coffee and quality. With Eric being so personable, we immediately felt welcome. This is run by a man who is incredibly passionate and intelligent. The logo is even Eric's face! If you're looking for somewhere not just to eat, but to relax and have an experience, this is the place you want to go. ”
“ WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!Second experience. 1st carry out, 2nd time, this time, eating in! Will DEFINITELY BE BACK! Much better than any fast food. Prices are reasonable. Great coffee shop atmosphere. Had a delightful mug of hot cider this morning to go along with my "Jacked up BLT". Hubbie got a blueberry Belgian waffle and hash brown casserole. Ended up sharing it all! Coffee smelled amazing. Next time I'll have some if that! ”
“ Great food, atmosphere and staff! Can’t say enough good things about Big Jack’s. I highly recommend the waffles! They also just catered my baby shower last weekend and the food was a HIT! ”
“ This is the best cafe! It's totally worth the stop. They have AMAZING breakfast burritos and their coffee is so tasty. It's such a cozy and welcoming little spot and the staff are friendly and kind! What a great experience. We'll be coming back for more of that Jack's Sauce! ”
“ Big Jacks honey bee cold brew coffee may be the best coffee I’ve ever had. Owner was a solid guy and the burritos are great too. Do yourself a favor and add the hash brown casserole ”
